California, USA – GroundHog, the leading Mine Digitization and Automation platform, announced today the launch of their updated Maintenance App for Mobile Maintenance Technicians and Supervisors working in mines, and for mining contractors. Designed with simplification, and clarity, the new revamped App expands support for both Field and Shop Maintenance. The app further streamlines both down and planned maintenance workflows through technology integration and real-time team communication and collaboration. This expansion of the OpsCenter platform to cover more maintenance use cases highlights the company’s leadership in becoming the platform of choice as a unified Mine Digitization and Automation platform for all Operations, Maintenance, Material Inventory and Safety Operations.

“This is a game-changer for the mining industry,” said Satish Penmetsa, CEO of GroundHog. “Our Maintenance App provides an unparalleled level of collaboration between technicians, maintenance supervisors, operations supervisors, dispatch and mine managers, as well as off-site leadership teams, which has never been possible before.”
The new app notifies Technicians of when equipment goes down in the field, including underground, and enables Supervisors to quickly prioritize equipment that need to be brought back up to hit production targets, safely. The App also empowers maintenance technicians to update equipment status, perform planned maintenance inspections, track the maintenance history of the equipment and directly from their mobile device or tablet, all while communicating in real-time with shift managers or supervisors.

According to Chanakya Rachakonda, Product Manager at GroundHog: “This app will significantly improve productivity while minimizing downtime due to delayed response times. Our solution fits perfectly into any existing ecosystem as it integrates seamlessly with SAP and other ERPs.”
The app has pre-made checklists that technicians can use during planned inspections. Real-time data will be collected through it, which may eventually be utilized to predict maintenance and various analytics.

“Our portfolio of products works seamlessly with each other. Maintenance technicians could also benefit from other products in our portfolio, such as our learning management system, which helps maintenance technicians provide equipment training to operators, or maintenance planning in our web application, Ops Center. This is our first step to making life easier for our maintenance technicians”, added Mr. Penmetsa.
With this latest addition to its range of advanced technology products aimed at optimizing mining operations’ efficiency levels further, Groundhog continues its commitment to improving safety standards while increasing profitability for businesses everywhere!
